What does typography and the World Wide Web have in common? Well…quite a lot! So much so, that it is one of the primary ways to communicate information across the Internet. There has been insightful testing performed on the differences between typographic methodologies, and the results point to how these differences alter the way information is delivered and consumed. Just look at the way two different typographic character sets change the way a message is portrayed, and we have tens of thousands of fonts available to convey those messages.
Now, obviously font selection can change the message, but you can change the message even more by converting certain amounts of static text into motion-enabled, dynamic text. Dynamic text is especially helpful when you are dealing with video. It is one thing to fade into view a video’s title, it is quite another thing to drop in the title from above as it smashes an object below it. Same title, different message.
