The Smoke Technique is a more advanced way to create a realistic typography smoke animation using video with moving smoke.
The effect requires several extra steps to complete. More than in the previous courses.
Finding the right smoke video to use with the animation may be more difficult in obtaining. Make careful consideration in choosing the video that is right for you.
Choosing different font families and background images will create additional options to consider.
The background can also be set as a movie file instead of an image to increase viewer interest.

Smoke Technique Final Thoughts
In closing, there are a few things to remember from the course.
I created this animation with the dimensions of 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. This was my preferred resolution. Feel free to change the dimensions of the animation to suit your liking.
The background can be an image or a video. This is your preference.
Really try using different types of typography. Testing various types of font families, colors, point sizes, character spacing and alignments can mean better results.
Pay close attention when adjusting the keyframes for the Linear Wipe Effect. Moving the current time indicator back and forth on the timeline may reveal inconsistencies with the timing of the Linear Wipe Effect and the smoke video footage.
The adjustment layer acts as a mask so the turbulent displace and Gaussian blur effects are applied to the text layer as the adjustment layer’s path moves across the screen.
The feather option is really a key option to use on the Linear Wipe Effect. Really focus on the number assigned to this option.
