Project Summary

Many Eugene residents have fallen on hard times, with many of them not having a home to live in, food to eat, and no certainty on where to sleep. Lacking vehicle transportation, their primary method of getting around is by walking. This has a direct impact on the longevity of their footwear. Give a Sock was formed to help people receive basic life-saving essentials, especially socks, the most requested item. It was found the current Give a Sock website lacks a proper user-centered design to promote the spirit of giving. Improving this deficit became the design team’s final aim.

My Responsibilities

This project consisted of three team members, each member being responsible for the creation of certain final deliverables. The team’s initial designs were remastered for this final case study. Things like the sitemap, storyboard, empathy map, affinity diagram, user journey map, heuristic evaluation, prototype, etc. began as a team effort and ended in my own personal interpretation as found here in this adaptation.
