Case Study: DHS
Web/UX/UI Design Debonair
Influence. Impress. Inspire. Ignite.
Project Summary
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security website is designed for a broad and diverse audience. It will be hypothesized that targeting such a broad audience creates problems with the site’s information architecture making navigating the website and accomplishing specific actions difficult for users. It was intended to redesign the site to better accommodate its visitors.
My Responsibilities
This was one of my first UX projects. I planned and developed the site redesign with the help of user interviewing and research. Responsibilities included card sorting, affinity diagramming, storyboarding, heuristic evaluations, wireframing and prototyping to name a few.
